Or rather, those who like to watch those who play the video games. Without spilling the beans on what may or may not be in the works, I’d like to take an informal poll, of sorts. When you watch a video stream online, which service do you prefer?
The two leading contenders right now appear to be Periscope and Twitch.tv. What say you?

Twitch.

Twitch. Periscope isn’t even an option. YouTube is pretty good purely on the basis that you can pause it.

I think that Twitch changed how they’re doing things so it’s better than it was. I’d totally watch the Jalopnik writers fail at play games.

I don’t play games.

Twitch, although I have watched some on YouTube and that seems to be good as well.

Twitch is obviously the king.
If you guys are going to do a game stream, make sure to set up a face cam. Those bump the popularity of streams up by a large margin. Also, try to get a nice set of subscriber emotes to use, and some sort of noise that plays when someone subscribes. People Pavlov all over that.

Twitch, although YouTube’s new streaming features might be worth a look as well.

Twitch seems to be the way to go.
That being said, I HATE watching other people play video games. I simply can’t understand wanting to watch others’ stream themselves playing when I could be playing too and shooting them in the face or passing them on the inside.

I just watch prerecorded stuff on youtube. I feel old.

Youtube, and actually playing them. Don’t watch many “lets plays”, just a few games I’m either interested in, or will never play and want to know more about.

jalop writers vs oppo players. Would join in.

Twitch. Possibly that new YouTube Games thing, but it doesn’t have an Xbone application, so I’ve never used it.

Do you think this is a game?!

I really don’t get the appeal of watching someone play games.
Maybe I’ll watch for a few seconds to get a feel for a game but I couldn’t imagine anything more

Sorta maybe could be.

I watch a lot of video game stuff on Youtube. Not so much on Twitch unless by chance someone I like to watch on Youtube is playing. Which has happened like 3 times. I’ve never used Periscope.
